The Pollino National Park 

The largest national park in Italy on the border between Basilicata and Calabria, offers a picturesque scenery. Through a visit to some of its most characteristic villages discovering its luxuriant nature and places lived since prehistoric times

Morano Calabro and its museums: the picturesque waterfall of medieval houses which extends beneath the Norman Castle of Morano makes it the most important point for discovering the park on the slope of Calabro.

Civita and the gorges of Raganello: A visit to the village, the land of the Arberesh and then descending into the Raganello gorge just below the Devil’s Bridge.

The Coastal Mountains 

Descending from the high ridges of the Mountains of Orsomarso from the Pollino National Park extends the softest landscape of the Coastal Mountains along the Tyrrhenian coast.

Fagnano Castello and its lakes: The Fagnano Lakes area has always been an excellent destination to visitors and hikers, offering a quiet and pleasant environment for those who choose to relax along the banks of its lakes with picnic areas that allow accessibility to all age groups.

The Sila National Park

One of the oldest nature parks in Italy, where the air is among the purest in the world and the magnificent nature is full of history and mystery. 

ITINERARY

Discovering nature: Visit the Visitors Centre “Cupone” in the town of Spezzano della Sila, a promenade path to discover the flora and fauna protected by the Biogenetic Nature Reserve and a visit to “The Giants of Fallistro” which houses the most ancient ultrasecolari examples of Laricio pine, a symbol of the park and the Calabria region.
